No, that's not a pet mouse walking beside me

A couple of weeks ago, Nicole bought me a pair of low-top, Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars. I had been wanting a pair of these for a long time, and I finally asked for them for my birthday.

I have worn them nearly every day, and have really been impresed with how good they feel on my feet. It's surprising that this shoe, whose design has remained virtually unchanged for the last 90 years, can be so comfortable. There's just one little problem with them:

They squeak!

They all do! Why is that?

I know! I was so excited when my company bought Converse (believe me people they needed it!). They are truly a classic! As soon as they came into the Employee store everyone started wearing them so I of course bought a very cute pink pair (kids because I don't fit in the adults sizes). Then as I started walking around the squeaking drove me NUTS!!!

I hardly ever wear them because of it. And just this week I thought I'd give them another chance and as I was walking to take the trash out I realized another design flaw... They are totally slippery and unsafe on wet pavement. I just about killed myself!

They are still very cool. And I'm sure I'll continue to attempt to wear them.
