They can spend it on a cheeseburger at McDonald's

A couple of years ago, McCune Brooks Hospital began building a new facility in Carthage. While this was being planned, they made a deal with Missouri Southern State University and the Missouri State Police to sell them their old facility for $1, whereby the Police and University would convert it into a massive teaching crime lab.

Well, apparently, now that the new hospital has been built and everyone has moved over, MSSU has decided that they in fact don’t want to set up a lab in that old building. It would cost like $7 million just to repair the building, plus however many millions converting it to classrooms. It’s about the money, you see.

I sure hope McCune Brooks got their dollar back.
