I remember listening to Steve Martin records when I was a kid. Or maybe it was tapes. Whatever. Anyway, one of the routines he was famous for was the song “King Tut”. Born in Arizona, moved to Caledonia, that whole thing. Funky Tut.
So a few minutes ago, I heard “King Tut” in the car on (XM station) Laugh USA. And you know what? Not really that funny anymore.

Well it is a kind of "you had to be there" sort of humor.
And it was much funnier if you got to see him on the tellywision come out in that so-dumb-it-was-funny Egyptian outfit.
